What happened to LSU in Death Valley?

What the heck happened to the LSU Tigers at Tiger Stadium on Saturday afternoon?

Well, what actually happened to the #13 ranked Bayou Bengals is that they got their brains beat out 52-38 by the seventh ranked Georgia Bulldogs.  This marked the second time this season that the vaunted Tiger defense gave up 50 points or more in as many losses.

This loss also snapped a 30-game home win streak when LSU plays on Saturdays.

Provided that the Bulldogs got a early 21-7 jump on the Tigers in the first half, LSU did manage to make a half of it by closing the gap 17-24 at the half.  Statistically on offense, it was a evenly balanced game on both sides.

The back breaker was the two of the three interceptions thrown by Jarrett Lee were returned for touchdowns including the first offensive play of the game.  Take those away, it is a tie ball game.

Where does LSU go from here?  The Tigers are still bowl eligible, to which bowl will they play in?

On the other hand, Georgia's BCS hopes were further solified with this victory.

Hopefully, the Tigers will regroup and take out their frustrations against Tulane next weekend.  Please do not have another letdown against the Green Wave.
